The height setting doesn’t hold. It’s a standard hydraulic height controlled swivel office chair with 5 wheels. I bought five 1-inch hose clamps from the auto parts store. I put all five clamps on the chair so they basically cover up the extended bright silver metal post that the chair sits on, this keeps it from retracting or squatting down. I did this about six months ago and it’s still holding perfectly.

I work in an environment where if it is not nailed down it will go missing so I have to be able to secure my office chair to the floor before I can get a replacement (the chair I have now could politely be called a pos). I still need the chair to swivel and move accross the floor within my work space but be immobile enough that it can’t be moved out of my area by either rolling it out or picking it up.

The plug that hangs from the chair has a couple of prongs in it, and seems like it would attach to a cord that would then plug into the wall. Know where I can purchase a cord like this? Websites would be helpful…thanks!
