to find the best prices, check out your local papers for garage sales. if you get the address early, chances are you can get an excellent deal if there’s any fabric. call any local fabric stores to see if there’s a sale on – papers for this, too. got a local craft guild? there are typically elderly ladies, or over burdened donated supplies they wouldn’t mind getting rid of (which is where the fabric for my 8′ sofa that my Mom and i reupholstered came from!) just network!!! somebody you know knows somebody that just happened to…..as for the actual upholstering, you will be surprised that it’s easier that you think! do, though, keep a good picture of the original in your head (not to mention all the original hardware!), just so you’ll know from where you are coming, to where you are going!
If you have a Jo Ann Fabric store close by, they usually have a decent selection on sale
sometimes thrift stores have great craft sections with great new and vintage fabrics also in the curtain section.and very cheep .fabric can get so costly i went to calico corners they have great patterns but expect to pay about 25-50 dollars a yard.also wal mart has nice stuff sometimes also keep in mind the size of your chair if its small /big how many yards youll need .
