Hello,

I got some patio chairs that were on display at the store.
They are iron with black paint.
They have some serious scrapes on them, and the paint is scratched off in some spots.

I’m assuming spray painting these chairs would be the best means of painting.

Should I use a primer?
Any recommendations or tricks when choosing a type of paint?

It will be in rainy weather often.

Thanks!

I want to buy a table from a catalog, but my husband doesn’t think we have enough room. How much space should be allowed to fit a 42 inch round table and 4 chairs?

I saw this cabinet at a friend’s house, he got it from his grandparents, and has no idea where they got it from. The cabinet is kindof old, probably from the 60’s or 70’s. It’s really cool, the table slides out from where the drawers would be, and has boards that you use to extend it to make it larger. The chairs are actually quite large and fold up to about a 2×2 square. The whole cabinet is probably 4 1/2 feet long and about 3 feet high. Not very big, but a great piece of furniture for a small game room. I want one! Any help would be great, I want to search ebay or something to find one, but, gotta know what to look for. Thanks!

I have a red table with metal legs and matching chairs in great shape from 1948. We want to put it in our kitchen. We don’t want plain white walls, but we are not sure what coolr to paint them. The cabinets are a light brown.

A teacher has a square classroom with ten chairs in it that she wants to arrange for a class project. How can she arrange the ten chairs along the walls so that there is an equal number of chairs along each wall?

I have four lovely 1950’s straight backed vinyl chairs. They match a same period red formica and chrome kitchen table. The vinyl covers are cracked and torn but the chrome frames are still perfectly fine. How would I go about recovering the chairs? Is a special sewing machine required or is there a method of cutting and stapling the vinyl onto the cushion and chair back?

I am a GCSE Art student and currently working on a still life based on chairs. For my coursework, I need to include an artist reference that relates to my still life. What artists have used chairs or furniture as a theme in their work, or in a series of pieces?
Unfortunately it has to be a central theme in the piece. Are there any contemporary artists who have done a piece or series of pieces based on chairs or furniture?

I just bought some old super awesome chairs but I don’t like the vinyl upholstery and I was wondering if there was an easy way for me to do it myself or perhaps some sort of paint or dye that I could use, otherwise, it will be a while before I can afford to have them professionally upholstered. Thanks!
My chairs are similar to barstools but they also have a backrest. I’m afraid if I try to do it myself, I won’t be able to get the fancy stitch around the edges of the vinyl.

Ok one of my cats (layah a one year old Manx) got diarrhea and it got all over one of my kitchen dining chairs. There was also a nice mushy nugget on another chair. I clean the poop off the floor, and took a soapy hot sponge and cleaned the chairs (they have a fabric seat) is that enough? Or is there more that I need to do?
